Luke grew up playing basketball until Sophomore year of High School when things looked a little different. During Luke’s Sophomore year, due to the pandemic, basketball season was cancelled. Luke and Dylan, his twin brother, started working out everyday in their garage and Luke packed on 20lbs of muscle. During this time, Dylan was strongly encouraging Luke that he should take up football.
And the rest is history…
During his three high school seasons, he had 100 receptions for 1,736 yards and 20 touchdowns and was named the #1 Football Player in the state of Oklahoma. After receiving many offers to play College football and narrowing it down to Arkansas and Alabama, Hasz committed to the University of Arkansas to play college football and picked up right where he left off. Stacking up 15 receptions for 239 yds. and 3 touchdowns through his first 4 games with a 6 reception, 116yds, 2 touchdown performance vs LSU.
He was selected to play in the 2023 Under Armour All-America Game, a John Mackey Tight End of the week recipient, preseason and midseason Freshman All American and named to the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the year watchlist.
In Luke’s own words…
I believe that having my twin brother in my life is a blessing as he helped me on and off the field to make the decision to play football. When it came to what college I would attend, after consulting with our parents and praying, I just knew that I couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to play college football with my brother.
It has been one of the best decisions of my life as I have met some amazing people, have had some success on the field and have grown deeper in my relationship with the Lord. I am so thankful for the support of my coaches, teammates, parents, girlfriend, and my twin brother. I am excited to see what’s in store.
To play football as long as God has it planned for me, to give it my all and be the best teammate I can, while using my platform that I have been given to share my story to help others be their best.
